Clarity before an injection

Your face.
Your decision.

Maybe you are seeing frown lines in photos, forehead lines when you raise your brows, or crow’s feet when you smile. Maybe you are simply curious about Botox and want an answer that is more useful than a menu of units or a rushed special.

At AB House of Aesthetics, Amardeep Kaur, nurse practitioner and founder, begins with how you move, what you notice, and what you want to preserve. The discussion is about fit, not pressure to change your face.

Our only office is in Sacramento, at 7501 Hospital Drive, Suite 205. We welcome people from Elk Grove and nearby communities at this location.

Botox is one option for expression lines

Botox Cosmetic is a prescription botulinum toxin medicine. In an appropriate adult patient, it can temporarily reduce activity in selected muscles, which may soften the appearance of lines formed by repeated facial movement. It does not add volume, erase every crease, or stop normal skin aging.

Some lines are most visible with movement. Others remain visible at rest because of skin texture, sun exposure, or the way a crease has developed over time. Reducing movement may soften a dynamic line without making a resting line disappear. A good consultation makes that distinction early, before anyone assumes an injection is the answer.

AB House of Aesthetics also offers Jeuveau. Both products are prescription medicines, but they are not interchangeable and do not share every approved cosmetic use. You can review the practice’s broader Botox and Jeuveau treatment information before deciding which questions matter most to you.

The details that shape a plan

Start with what you want to keep

People do not all want the same degree of change. You may want to soften a line but keep a lively brow. You may be concerned about looking overtreated, or you may want to understand why one area affects another. Those preferences are useful clinical information, not an obstacle to a plan.

Your assessment should look at your natural expression, facial balance, the way individual muscles pull, and the condition of the skin. It should also cover any prior injections, reactions, surgery, asymmetry, or other treatments that might affect a recommendation. A photograph of someone else, a social-media trend, or a fixed number of units cannot substitute for that assessment.

A free consultation gives you room to ask whether a smaller approach, a different treatment, or no procedure at all makes more sense. There is no deposit, credit card, or obligation to purchase treatment.

What a Botox consultation in Sacramento covers

Begin with the concern that brought you in. You can point out the lines you notice, explain when they bother you, and describe the kind of change you would feel comfortable seeing. The consultation should then cover suitable options, what treatment can reasonably change, what it cannot promise, and whether waiting is the better choice.

Bring or be ready to discuss your health history, prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, supplements, previous injectable treatments, allergies, facial procedures, and any history of muscle or nerve conditions. Mention pregnancy, plans for pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Do not stop prescribed medicine on your own, but do ask the clinician who prescribed it and your treating practitioner how it relates to a possible procedure.

Before treatment, you should understand the product proposed, areas being considered, expected cost, possible benefits, important risks, aftercare, and how to contact the practice if something concerns you. A booking starts a conversation. It is not consent to an injection.

Results are gradual and temporary

It is normal not to see a final change immediately after treatment. The American Academy of Dermatology explains that botulinum toxin results commonly appear within 3 to 7 days and may last around 3 to 4 months. Your own timing can differ according to the product, treatment area, dose, muscle activity, and individual response.

That timeline is general information, not a promised outcome. Ask when your result should be assessed and what to do if something appears uneven or different from what you expected. More product is not automatically the right answer. A follow-up recommendation should reflect a fresh assessment and appropriate product timing.

A temporary treatment can be appealing because it does not permanently alter the face. It also means the decision deserves the same care as any other procedure. You are allowed to take time, decline an added area, or decide that treatment is not right for you now.

Plan around recovery, not a perfect schedule

Many people return to usual activities after an appointment, but redness, tenderness, swelling, headache, or bruising can occur. If you have photographs, travel, an event, or a demanding work obligation, give yourself room for the possibility that visible effects may last longer than expected.

Follow the aftercare instructions for your actual treatment. Ask when to resume exercise, facial treatments, massage, or activities that put pressure on treated areas. Avoid rubbing or massaging the area unless your clinician specifically advises otherwise. The American Academy of Dermatology’s patient FAQs offer general aftercare information, but individualized instructions take priority.

Call the practice at 916-910-0018 if you have a concern after treatment. Do not wait for a routine check-in if symptoms are worsening.

Safety deserves a direct conversation

Possible side effects include injection-site discomfort, bruising, swelling, headache, temporary eyelid or brow drooping, unwanted weakness, and asymmetry. No cosmetic injection is risk-free, and no provider can guarantee a specific look or that there will be no downtime.

Botulinum toxin medicines carry a boxed warning about effects spreading beyond the injection area. Difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing, signs of a severe allergic reaction, generalized weakness, or vision changes need prompt medical attention. Review the Botox Cosmetic prescribing information and discuss the safety information for the actual product under consideration.

This page cannot determine whether Botox is appropriate for you. A careful recommendation may include a different option, a delay, or a referral for medical care. That is part of responsible planning, not a failed consultation.

Costs should be clear before treatment

Cost depends on the product, the areas considered, and the individualized plan. A price conversation should include the complete proposed cost before treatment so you can decide with the full picture in front of you. The free aesthetic consultation is separate from any paid procedure.

You do not need to commit during the visit. You can take the recommendation home, compare options, or return when you feel ready. If you are also considering volume changes or skin texture concerns, the practice can explain how dermal fillers and microneedling address different concerns instead of treating every issue as a Botox problem.

Your questions, welcomed

Botox Sacramento FAQs

What can I discuss at a Botox consultation?

You can discuss the expression lines you notice, how much movement you want to keep, your prior treatment history, medical history, alternatives, likely limitations, aftercare, and the proposed cost. A consultation is free and does not obligate you to receive treatment.

Will Botox make me look frozen?

A treatment plan should reflect the amount of movement and change you are comfortable with. Results depend on facial anatomy, muscle activity, product, placement, dose, and individual response. A natural-looking result is a preference to discuss, not a result that can be guaranteed.

How soon will I see a change after Botox?

Results are not immediate. The American Academy of Dermatology notes that botulinum toxin results commonly begin to appear within 3 to 7 days and often last about 3 to 4 months. Individual timing and duration vary, so your own treatment should be reviewed on its actual response.

What does Botox cost in Sacramento?

The complete cost depends on the product, areas considered, and individualized plan. We explain the proposed cost before treatment. The standard aesthetic consultation is free, with no deposit, credit card, or obligation to proceed.

Is Botox safe for everyone?

No. Botox Cosmetic is a prescription medicine and an assessment is necessary. Medical history, allergies, medications, muscle or nerve conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding, a skin infection at the proposed site, and prior reactions can affect whether treatment is appropriate.

Do you have an Elk Grove office?

No. Our only office is at 7501 Hospital Drive, Suite 205, Sacramento, CA 95823. We welcome people from Elk Grove and nearby communities at this Sacramento location.
